The stat sheet reinforces it. Break the Mold makes every attack and ability steal armor and magic resistance, and Morgana arrives with 25 armor and 30 magic resistance, so the theft bites from the first hit. Rell’s damage is mixed rather than pure magic, which shrinks the portion a barrier would have absorbed anyway. Her 315 base move speed is the slowest part of her kit, but Full Tilt ramps speed for herself and an ally and doubles it toward enemies, so the 335 Morgana walks at buys no distance. Ferromancy: Crash Down then knocks up on landing and hands her a large shield along with bonus armor and magic resistance while dismounted.

The outs are positional. Dark Binding thrown at 450 units interrupts that dismount before it lands, and Soul Shackles punishes Rell for the crowd she creates when Magnet Storm drags everyone toward her. Health is close at 2,398 against 2,388 by level 18, so whoever casts first usually decides the exchange.
