Global Esports have appointed Derren “Aimix Strange” dela Cruz as assistant coach. Sam “Fields” Greenfield has joined the same Valorant staff as an analyst.
Both newcomers will work with head coach Daniel “Platoon” Zhou during VCT Pacific Stage 2. The appointments change the coaching group without altering the five-player roster.
Two appointments complete the new coaching group
Platoon remains the head coach after moving up from his previous analyst position. Aimix Strange joins him as assistant coach, while Fields takes responsibility for the analyst role.
Vatsal Uniyal remains the team manager. Hose “taeri” Son and Minseong “UnknowN” Kim also continue in the wider staff listed with the team.
The club announced Aimix Strange and Fields separately. Each announcement named a completed appointment rather than a trial, negotiation or temporary match assignment.
Global Esports did not announce a player departure with either appointment. The active group still contains xavi8k, PatMen, UdoTan, Kr1stal and Autumn.
Aimix Strange arrives after a long period with NAOS
Aimix Strange spent several seasons leading the Valorant programme at NAOS. His latest campaign there ended after the Southeast Asian Challengers season.
The Filipino coach worked with several players who later reached larger Pacific events. His NAOS teams included Papi, Xan and PTC at different stages.
Two familiar names are already inside the Global Esports lineup. Aimix Strange previously coached xavi8k and PatMen during their time with NAOS.
That shared history is a confirmed connection between the new coach and the current roster. It does not require a player transfer or another registration change.
Fields moves from BOOM into an analyst position
Fields worked with BOOM Esports for two seasons before joining Global Esports. He first served as assistant coach and later led the team as head coach.
His earlier route included Revenant Esports and F9 Hetic. He also held coaching positions with European organisations before continuing his career in the Pacific region.
Fields and Aimix Strange have already appeared at the same regional competitions. BOOM and NAOS both qualified for Pacific Ascension in 2025, although they did not meet there.

The teams did play during Pacific Ascension in 2024. BOOM defeated NAOS in the opening round while Fields and Aimix Strange worked on opposite coaching staffs.
The change follows Platoon’s promotion
Global Esports promoted Platoon from analyst to head coach before the new appointments. The team then began its next competitive period with a smaller coaching bench.
Platoon handled the first Stage 2 series after that promotion. Global Esports победил Rex Regum Qeon in two maps before adding the two staff members.

The five-player lineup remains unchanged
Xavier “xavi8k” Juan and Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza continue beside Go “UdoTan” Kyung-won. Savva “Kr1stal” Fedorov and Kale “Autumn” Dunne complete the active five.
The group represents several parts of the Pacific scene. The new appointments add coaching experience from Southeast Asian Challengers and Pacific Ascension to that international lineup.
Aimix Strange already knows xavi8k and PatMen from NAOS. Fields arrives from BOOM after working with a different set of Southeast Asian and international players.
Those separate career paths now meet under Platoon. The confirmed structure lists one head coach, one assistant coach and one analyst.
Global Esports have changed staff rather than players
The announcement concerns preparation staff, not the starting roster. No player was added, removed or moved to the bench as part of these appointments.
Aimix Strange leaves a head-coach role to become Platoon’s assistant. Fields also changes responsibilities after leading BOOM during the latest Challengers campaign.
Global Esports now list three named coaching roles during Stage 2. The manager and two additional staff members remain part of the organisation.
