Eternal Fire Esports have moved Baran “Izzy” Yilmaz to the bench. The starting lineup now includes Arda Kartal for VCT EMEA Stage 2. The change arrives after two group matches.
Kartal is due to make his VCT debut against Team Heretics Esports. He already knows several teammates from an earlier Challengers period. Only one starting position changes.
Izzy leaves the active five after two matches
Izzy started the first two Stage 2 series for Eternal Fire Esports. The team defeated Team Liquid and then lost to Karmine Corp. That produced one win and one defeat in Group Omega.
The organisation announced the change before the next match. Izzy remains under contract and moves to the reserve roster. Kartal joins the active five.
Izzy started throughout Stage 1. Eternal Fire Esports finished the first group phase with four victories and one defeat. Their playoff run stopped one place short of Masters London qualification.
The team won four Stage 1 group matches with Izzy. The team then reached the lower playoff final. Kartal enters after the opening two Stage 2 series.
Izzy returned to the top level with Eternal Fire Киберспорт
Izzy had previously appeared internationally with Papara SuperMassive in 2021. He later spent several seasons outside the main VCT leagues. Joining Eternal Fire Esports returned him to top regional competition.
The organisation entered VCT EMEA after replacing ULF Esports. Izzy was the only player from the accepted roster who remained in the new five. Other roles changed around him before Stage 1.
He played through that stage after s0pp moved to FUT Esports. Izzy started during the group run and playoffs. His latest spell included several months of regular VCT matches.
Izzy remains on the registered reserve roster. The starting lineup against Team Heretics Esports includes Kartal.
Arda Kartal returns to the active roster
Arda Kartal joined the organisation near the end of last year. He played with its earlier lineup before the club entered VCT EMEA. The club retained him after the associated Challengers project ended.
That project competed as Eternal Fire Passion in the Turkish Challengers league. Kartal played beside several players who later joined the main roster. He now rejoins familiar teammates.

Kartal stayed on the reserve roster after the project ended. He also played one official match for Barca Esports in the EMEA Challengers last-chance qualifier. That match provided recent official competition.
