Most yordles who leave home go looking for an invention to tinker with or a joke to play on someone; Tristana went looking for a war worth being brave in.

She grew up hearing about Runeterra’s factions and its conflicts, and where other yordles saw danger to avoid, she saw a stage her people deserved to stand on, certain that courage was not something reserved for taller races. So she stepped out of Bandle City, that elusive spirit realm that slips in and out of the mortal world, for the first time with nothing more than conviction and a cannon she calls Boomer, determined to prove that yordles could earn the same legendary status as the warriors in the stories she’d grown up on.

That same courage defines how she fights now as a Marksman and Assassin suited to the ADC or Mid lane, running on Mana rather than any fury or charge. Draw a Bead quietly extends her attack range as she gains levels, letting her poke from further away than her size would suggest. Rapid Fire lets her unload at a much faster pace for a short window, while Rocket Jump fires Boomer at the ground beneath her to launch herself to a new position, damaging and slowing anyone caught at the landing site. Explosive Charge turns every kill into a burst of shrapnel and can also be planted directly on an enemy as a timed bomb that detonates shortly after. Buster Shot, her ultimate, loads a cannonball heavy enough to knock a target back across the battlefield, hitting even harder if that target is already carrying an Explosive Charge. Among the crowded roster of small, gun-toting or bomb-throwing champions like Corki и Rumble, or fellow small-scaled fighters Teemo, Lulu и Veigar, Tristana stands out simply for how much bigger she plays than she looks.
