Thresh

Thresh does not kill quickly, and that is precisely the point.

He was not always a specter. Once he held custody over a great deal of arcane knowledge, before something stronger than life or death itself unmade him and left him restless within the Shadow Isles, an archipelago choked by mist and ghosts, a place where dying rarely settles anything for good. Whatever he lost in that undoing, he replaced with cruelty, and he now sustains himself by drawing out the suffering of others with a patience most mortals would call sadistic. Souls caught by him do not simply die; he traps them inside his lantern to be tormented indefinitely, long after their bodies have stopped mattering, breaking them down with an inventiveness that seems to take its own private pleasure in the process.

His kit, built for the Support or Top role and powered by Mana like most of his kind, is a direct extension of that cruelty. Damnation lets him harvest the souls of anyone who dies nearby, permanently adding to his Armor and Ability Power the longer a fight drags on. Death Sentence chains an enemy and hauls them toward him, and casting it again pulls Thresh to them instead, a reversal that punishes overconfidence. Dark Passage throws out the lantern itself, shielding allies from damage while giving them a route to dash to his side. Flay rewards patience between attacks with heavier damage, then sweeps his chain to knock back everyone it touches. The Box, his ultimate, seals a group inside walls that slow and injure anyone who breaks through them, a cage built from the same patient cruelty that defines him. Names like Hecarim и Kalista или Elise, Gwen и Karthus, are often mentioned in the same breath as him, but none share his particular talent for making death feel like only the beginning.
