Tristana starts at 550 attack range and Draw a Bead extends it every level, so on paper this is a ranged champion holding a melee one at distance for an entire game. The 183 games recorded on patch 16.13.1 disagree: Yasuo wins 57.38%.

Wind Wall is the reason. It blocks all enemy projectiles for four seconds, and her basic attacks, Explosive Charge shrapnel and Buster Shot are effectively the whole of her damage. One wall placed correctly cancels a full rotation, and it costs nothing to hold in reserve.

Her escape is also her engage. Rocket Jump is the only movement ability she owns, and it is the same button she needs to reposition after Sweeping Blade puts Yasuo next to her, so using it aggressively leaves her stranded. Buster Shot knocks him back, resetting spacing at the cost of her last defensive tool. From there the frames matter: 2,460 health and 110.2 armor for Yasuo against her 2,374 and 98, plus a shield that rebuilds through movement and 345 movement speed against 325. Rapid Fire raises her attack speed and does nothing about a champion who ends fights with Last Breath on an airborne target. Difficulty ratings of 10 and 4 explain why the figure can look very different at lower levels of play.
