The stat sheet reads in his favour in every column except the one that matters. Senna has 530 HP and 25 armor at level one and finishes at 2,043 with 93 armor, while Galio ends at 2,742 Health, 103.9 armor and 32 magic resistance. None of it applies while Piercing Darkness heals allies through a target from outside taunt distance. Last Embrace roots after a brief delay, and Curse of the Black Mist hides an approaching team, so Hero’s Entrance loses part of the surprise it depends on. Her damage is mixed, which blunts a single resistance purchase, and her difficulty rating of 7 against 5 means the matchup improves noticeably when a root is misfired and stays bad when it is not. Dawning Shadow fires globally, limiting how much a roam away from her actually threatens. A 50 AD base is the lowest opening figure either champion brings, which is exactly why the souls matter: they supply what levels alone would not. Colossal Smash and 59 AD still hand Galio the better basic-attack pressure before items land, and Winds of War is the only tool that reaches her position.
